We are thrilled to share the news that Anthony Joseph is the winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize for Poetry, for his collection Sonnets for Albert.
Sonnets for Albert is an autobiographical collection in which Anthony Joseph reflects on his relationship with his father. The collection was described as "luminous" by the competition judges.
As winner of the prize, which this year received a record number of submissions, Anthony Joseph has been awarded £25000. Each of the shortlisted poets is awarded £1500.
