The Poetry Book Society were delighted to be involved in New Writing North's Rich Seams podcast series where PBS Book Selector Andrew McMillan took a deeper look at the poetry of the North, celebrating the best of new and emerging poetry in the North of England. In this launch episode, Andrew McMillan talks to Claire Malcolm, Chief Executive of New Writing North about the ideas behind Rich Seams and takes the measure of northern poetry with Professor Stephen Regan from Durham University and Alice Kate Mullen from the Poetry Book Society as part of Durham Book Festival in October 2018.

Nothing beats hearing a poet reading or discussing their own work. Our Youtube channel features over a hundred videos including readings and interviews with PBS selected poets, poem films and coverage of poetry events. Take a look at our video archive highlights below and subscribe to the PBS Youtube channel here for regular updates.

Our friends and partners at the Newcastle Centre for the Literary Arts have a collection of poetry readings and discussions recorded on film. Amongst these are several videos from recent PBS showcases. Click on the links below to watch the readings.
