‘I have known Maureen for many years, since the time she came to poetry nights held in a Bookshop. She read a poem there one night that struck a cord and that poem stayed with me ever since. That is the strength of her writing and here you can experience this for yourselves. She writes with humanity, wisdom, insight and humour, and it is a joy to be able to read more of her fine poetry.’
