The Queen City by Christine Taylor
Christine Taylor’s The Queen City is a meditation on her return to her childhood home of Plainsfield, New Jersey, in which she comes to terms with how she and the city have and have not changed. By turns nostalgic for the past and worried about the future, Taylor writes with wisdom and occasional sadness, knowing “the young cats on the block / ain’t young anymore”.
