The Poetry Book Society was founded in 1953 by T S Eliot and friends to ‘propagate the art of poetry' by bringing the best new poetry to readers. Every quarter our expert Selectors, themselves all established poets, read hundreds of new books to choose the best new single author collection, known as the Choice book, which our members receive free along with the Bulletin. They also choose four Recommendations, a Special Commendation, a Recommended Translation and a Pamphlet Choice.
The Bulletin contains short reviews of the selected books from the Selectors and contributions from the poets themselves, together with a selection of other new books. Almost all of these books, and indeed any book in print in the UK, can be ordered at the 25% members' discount.
In addition to all this there is a tempting joining offer for full members of a free copy of the latest Choice book, and a £10 voucher.
Full UK Membership includes 4 free books and costs £55 per year.
