Drawn by Peter Hughes PRE-ORDER
Published 31st July 2025. Available for pre-order.
Peter Hughes' Drawn is an intricate interplay of poetry and visual resonance, shaped by landscapes both physical and linguistic. Moving between personal recollection, historical echoes, and the shifting textures of place, Hughes crafts a work that is deeply attuned to the fluidity of meaning and form. Whether tracing the contours of memory, reworking poetic traditions, or immersing in the elemental forces of land and water, Drawn exists at the intersection of movement and stillness, observation and transformation. Peter Hughes was born in Oxford in 1956. He lived in Italy for several years and continues to find inspiration in Italian literature. He now lives on the Norfolk coast where he runs Oystercatcher Press, an imprint which has published over 100 pamphlets of exciting poetry. A Selected Poems came out from Shearsman in 2013.
