Inpress Accounts and Poetry Book Society Administrator
Full Time: Office hours 9am-5pm
Salary: £18,500 - £20,000, depending on experience. 3 month probation period.
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (mix of office and home working)
Inpress, the specialist sales and marketing agency for independent publishers based in Newcastle upon Tyne, is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and organised individual, with a passion for literature and a head for numbers, to join the team as our Accounts and Poetry Book Society Administrator.
The successful candidate will be an essential part of a busy and vibrant team, ensuring the absolutely essential administrative work of Accounts and the PBS day to day business is carried out effectively.
This role will suit someone who is unflappable, with exceptional organisational skills, initiative, excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. This is an ideal opportunity to start a career in publishing or arts administration.
The position will include liaison over the phone and via email with PBS members, Inpress client publishers and other poetry publishers, involving book and membership order processing, timely dissemination of information, collating monthly sales reports and assisting in preparing figures for management accounts. We are looking for someone who is conscientious with an eye for detail, clear-thinking and keen to make their mark, this goes hand in hand with a high quality of work as well as the ability to hit deadlines across a wide range of tasks.
