Several Deer by Adam Crothers (Carcanet) has been awarded the Seamus Heaney Prize for Best First Collection. The shortlist for this year’s Prize included:

The winner was announced during the Seamus Heaney Centre Poetry Summer School, 26-30 June 2017 and awarded £5,000. Adam Crothers has also been invited to read at Glucksman Ireland House at New York University for the annual Tom Quinlan Lecture in Poetry.
