‘The very heart of who we are and what we are here for. An exciting and wonderful book’ - Michael Rosen
For Day 11 of our PBS poetic gift guide we bring you this moving anthology of poetry by NHS staff and leading poets, edited by “The Emergency Poet” Deborah Alma. These are poems about our shared humanity, full of compassion and care, which remind us of the great debt we owe the NHS this year, more than ever. Alongside NHS staff sit leading UK poets who have donated poems to this anthology including Michael Rosen, Roger McGough, Lemn Sissay, Sabrina Mahfouz, Kate Clanchy and Wendy Cope. All proceeds from this book go to NHS Charities Together which supports over 135 official NHS Charities raising money for NHS hospitals, ambulance services, community and mental health services across the UK.
