To celebrate National Poetry Day, we're launching a competition for budding poets with our friends at Tyne and Wear Metro, Nexus. Poets of all ages and abilities are invited to send us a 20 line poem on the theme of "Winter" for a chance to see it displayed in a giant poster board on the Longbenton Metro Station platform and win a free PBS Membership. The competition is open to everyone, with categories for adults and children, until 7th November. Entries will be judged by Alice Mullen from the Poetry Book Society and award-winning poet Degna Stone. We can't wait to give someone this incredible platform for their poems in our local community!
