We're so excited to share Foretokens by Sarah Howe as our Winter 2025 Choice.
Sarah Howe is a Hong Kong-born British poet and editor. Her first collection of poems, Loop of Jade, won the T.S. Eliot Prize and Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award. Her second collection, Foretokens is shortlisted for this year's T.S. Eliot Prize.
She taught poetry and creative writing for many years at King’s College London, before taking up the role of Poetry Editor at Chatto & Windus. In 2018, she was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
With Professor Sandeep Parmar, she co-founded the Ledbury Poetry Critics programme in 2017. To date, 30 critics of colour have benefited from its year-long intensive mentorship programme, widely credited with increasing the visibility of poets and critics of colour in the UK.
