We're delighted to see PBS Summer Choice Sinead Morrissey and Spring Guest Selector Kayo Chingonyi on the Costa Prize shortlist, alongside Helen Dunmore and Richard Osmond, whose collections were reviewed in our Summer Bulletin.
The Costa Prize was founded in 1971. This year 620 books were entered. The category winners will be announced on the 2nd January.
According to the Guardian, Dominic Paul, Managing Director of Costa claimed: 'These shortlists are a showcase of everything the Costa book awards celebrate: terrific books with broad appeal that will be enjoyed by readers of all tastes'.
