Jane Commane of Nine Arches Press, the publisher of PBS Winter Recommendation The Healing Next Time, presents this first episode of their podcast series featuring poet Roy McFarlane.
McFarlane's collection is deeply engaged in the political and the personal, chronicling a broad and disturbing sweep of racial violence, but PBS selector Sandeep Parmar saw in it an optimism too: 'The book ends by offering love and hope as a way out of suffering'.
