POETRY BOOK SOCIETY LAUNCHES 'BACK IN PRINT'

The Poetry Book Society is delighted to announce an exciting new initiative to breathe new life into contemporary poetry.

It is a well known fact that many distinguished poetry collections are sadly no longer available. As it is simply uneconomic to reprint them, many fall out of print and disappear from bookshops. In order to address this the Poetry Book Society asked its members for suggestions of significant collections from recent years which they felt deserved to be brought back to life. The PBS then worked with Poetry Review magazine to select six key titles. The books have now been republished as the 'Back in Print' list.

Showcasing a range of work and variety of styles from the last four decades, the 'Back in Print' titles afford a wonderful opportunity for readers to rediscover or to enjoy for the first time the works of some of our greatest poets that have been out of print for some years.

The 'Back in Print' titles are:

Airy Hall by Fred D'Aguair
Sibyls and Others by Ruth Fainlight
The Triumph of Love by Geoffrey Hill
Spilt Milk by Sarah Maguire
The Cost of Seriousness by Peter Porter
Adventures with my Horse by Penelope Shuttle

The 'Back in Print' books will be published on Thursday 12th April but are available to pre-order now from the Poetry Bookshop Online. Click here to read more about the books and to order copies.
