The Poetry Archive is a
unique project dedicated to bringing poetry to
a wider audience and to recording today’s poets
for posterity. Poetry has long been well-served
in print, but hearing a poet read their own work
uncovers new levels of meaning and encourages
a deeper understanding.
With the benefit of modern
recording technology, the Poetry Archive is creating
a modern version of the oral tradition and ensuring
that today’s great poets will still be heard by
future generations. All of the Poetry Archive’s
recordings are available to buy on CD only from
this website. CDs are £9.47 for PBS members and
£12.99 for non-members.
