When reading poetry is just not enough, it's always wonderful to hear a poet engage with an audience or an interviewer. The Poetry Trust have an excellent selection of podcasts available on itunes, and as the organisers of the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival they are in a great position to capture our greatest living poets for posterity.
Their podcast highlights include Andrew Motion at Aldeburgh earlier this year, and a wonderful conversation between T S Eliot Prize shortlisted Seamus Heaney and Michael Laskey, who co-founded the Aldeburgh Festival and who has very recently become the latest poet to be immortalised by the Poetry Archive.
Their Poetry Paper was published to coincide with the Aldeburgh Festival, and can be viewed online here - there is more of the conversation between Seamus and Michael seen above, as well as Don Paterson (one of the stars of this year's festival) in conversation with Lavinia Greenlaw.
