To celebrate 17 years of publishing established and emerging writers, Magma are happy to announce their first-ever poetry competition. All poem entries of up to 80 lines will be judged by George Szirtes, while the special Editors' Prize has been set up to give long-overdue recognition to short poems, making it a double bill for winners.
In addition to attractive cash prizes, winners will be invited to read at the prize-giving event in early Spring 2012. Winning entries will be published both in the Spring 2012 issue and online.
The quickest and easiest way to enter is via the Magma website. Alternatively, you can send in your poems with the completed entry form together with your payment.
Entry free is £5 per poem or £15 for four poems, and Magma subscribers receive a discounted rate.
