The Oldie is launching the first ever Soho Literary Festival from September 23-25, at the Soho Theatre, in Dean Street.
Instead of asking you to schlep off to a tent in some cowpat-sodden field three hours from London, we are bringing a literary festival to you in the comfort of Soho.
Our line-up is spectacular: Maureen Lipman, Howard Jacobson, Michael Morpurgo, Richard Ingrams, Gyles Brandreth, Ken Loach and thirty-odd other events.
All tickets are just £8 - but you can have any two tickets for just £8; any four for £16 etc..... as long as you book by September 19th. It could be the cheapest night out you've enjoyed in the West End since decimalisation.
Polpo, in Beak St, and Polpetto, above the French House in Dean St, are offering to make it even cheaper by giving you a 500ml bottle of white and red for every two people having lunch or dinner during the festival. Just bring along your ticket. You can make a reservation for lunch (but not dinner) on 020 7734 4479 and 020 7734 1969.
Do go online now at www.soholitfest.com to view the entire programme.
