The Waywiser Press is a small independent literary press, with its main office in London, and a subsidiary in Baltimore. It has a special interest in modern poetry and fiction but is also known to stray into other literary genres such as memoir, criticism and history.

 

Based in Wales, Seren is an independent literary publisher, specialising in English-language writing from Wales. Their list has diversified from poetry titles into fiction, drama, biography, literary criticism, art, photography, current affairs, history, sport and translation.

 

Based in Cambridge, Salt publishes over 80 books a year, focusing on poetry, biography, literary criticism and textbooks by authors from the US, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the Caribbean and mainland Europe.

 

Picador is a Pan Macmillan imprint which publishes international writing, fiction and non-fiction and has numerous prize winners on its list. With an established reputation for groundbreaking non-fiction, publishing reportage, literary biography and memoir; Picador has also established a formidable poetry list.

 

Inpress is an Arts Council funded member organisation providing sales, marketing and distribution for small, independent publishers in the UK,including a nuimber of poetry publishers.

 

Flambard is a small independent press which nurtures new and neglected writers from Britain and beyond. Poetry forms the backbone of the list, but Flambard now publishes some fiction as well.

 

Faber and Faber is the last of the great independent publishing houses in London. Faber continues to be at the forefront of poetry publishing, with an exciting range of anthologies and a frontlist that includes Nobel Prize-winners and other luminous talents.

 

A small press that specialises in new fiction in English and in translation. Dedalus has invented its own distinctive genre of distorted reality where the bizarre, the unusual, the grotesque and the surreal meld in a kind of intellectual fiction which is very European.
