A Fine Excess

'Poetry should surprise by a fine excess' - John Keats.

The PBS' 2001/2 touring poetry show visited 16 theatres and arts centres round the UK, from Derbyshire to Devon. Michael Donaghy and Sean O'Brien hosted the readings, with a range of guest poets (including Jean 'Binta Breeze', U A Fanthorpe, John Hegley, Andrew Motion and Don Paterson) each reading their own work and that of the classic poets who had inspired them.
